Freestyle Poll

Superpowers

As the busy, bustling conference continued, delegates found they needed a break from their stressful lobbying. We decided to take the heat off of them for a while by asking a few interesting questions, including one of our favorites: if you were to have any superpower, what would it be?

Many delegates expressed interest in time travel, presumably due to the engagement many of them have with history and the future.

“Teleporting!” shout Julia Kim (Renaissance Int’l School Saigon) and Annie Huang (Pacific American School). Another delegate, Madeleine Ng (Australian Int’l School Malaysia) exclaimed, “Making money grow from trees!” In one special case, Marta Aloso (Brillianmont Int’l School) wished to be transparent, so watch out!

After a little time to consider, delegates such as Prudence Huang and Nicholas Yuan decided that they would love to possess telekinesis. “Invisibility,” Kavi Isran (Bali Int’l School) and Elle Lee (Int’l School Ho Chi Minh City) said with mischievous looks on their faces.

Ibidabo Brown (Webber Academy) decided on super speed with a huge smile plastered across his face.

Singing in the Shower

Delegates shared some insight with us on their part-time careers singing in the Bathtub Café.

“I don’t know if I sing in the shower, ‘cause the water always gets in my mouth,” exclaims Madeline Ng (AISM.)

Hyun Ju Kim (Renaissance Int’l School Saigon) is brave and improvises her own songs in the shower.

“Nah,” Marta Aloso (BIS) said when she was asked if she sings in the shower, “I listen to Shakira.”

Excitedly singing the tune, Lynn Kim (Shanghai American School) showed us that she loves to sing the song “Different” by Winner.

Elle Lee (ISHCMC) stated that she loves to sing rap and hip hop songs in the shower while Ibidabo Brown (WA) prefers the soulful “I Feel Good” by James Brown.

On the other end of the spectrum is Nicholas Yuan (Australian Int’l School of Hong Kong) who prefers to sing the fun “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen.
